On Sept. 1st, a delegation of five represented by Litana Loabuka, CEO and Peter Mazey, Chairman of Fiji Sports Commission, visited the Maintenance Project of Suva Stadium in Fiji for providing guidance.

Litana Loabuka had a detailed understanding of the specific practices on the maintenance work of the hockey spraying system, the hockey artificial lawn, the water treatment equipment of the swimming pool and the bleacher seats. She was satisfied with the progress and quality of the project, and was eager to put the swimming pool and the hockey field into use as soon as possible. Meanwhile, she was intended to invite the project team to participate in the construction of other projects of the Sports Committee.

The project team thanked the Sports Committee for the recognition of the project work, and expressed that they will always attach great importance to the project construction, and will organize the project with great care, make reasonable arrangements, complete the construction tasks with high standards and strict requirements so as to ensure quality, quantity and early delivery.

It is reported that Fijian people love sports very much. With a population of less than 900,000, the number of officially registered rugby players has reached 80,000. Fiji successfully defended the gold medal in Men's Rugby Sevens at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Based on the original design and functional layout, the maintenance and renewal of the outdoor swimming pool and hockey field were carried out as a whole to restore their full functions, as well as upgrading and beautifying the surrounding areas. After completion of the project maintenance, the requirements of training Fiji’s professional athletes and holding regional international events could be met.
