Indonesia BPM Opencast Coal Mine Project Entered the Production Period Officially

    On March 29, with the roar of motor sound reverberating in the valley, by overcoming the continuous rainy days and various influences, after over 100 days of joint efforts of Zhongding, China Railway and Indonesia employees, truckload of glittering coal was dumped in the mining yard, marking the first success exploitation of Zhongding Indonesia BPM project S7 coal seam, with the project officially entering the production period.

    As the main type of coking coal in BPM mining area, S7 coal seam is the main mining seam in BPM mining area. Compared with other coal seams in BPM mining area, S7 coal seam has the advantages of low ash, low sulfur, high caloric value and high market value. In order to effectively ensure the quality of coal, the BPM Project Department of Zhongding Indonesia adopts the "one to one" mode of mining operations, with specific excavators and vehicles being used for mining and transportation, and full-time coal quality management personnel being assigned to supervise the mining operations of the excavators on site to ensure that the coal quality is controllable.

    It is reported that, since singing of the contracting mining cooperation agreement in Jan. 2022, the Indonesia BPM opencast coal mine project officially commenced in Nov.2023, thanks to the strong support of the company and through arduous efforts of the project department staff by overcoming various difficulties in foreign country, strengthening coordination and communication with the Indonesian official government and coal mine owners. During that period, all the staff of the project department fought tirelessly to seize the favorable weather, inverted schedule to fully promote project construction, strengthened management and worked together to ensure that the production target, mining preparation work and coal transportation road construction work could be advanced in an orderly manner, thus ensuring the first mining goal.
